SprayKote Shop Finishing

We prefer to use paints we feel confident about. However, if you insist, we will use just about anything you bring in.* Here’s a list of the materials we like to use.

Exterior Clear: Zar Water-based Satin Polyurethane

Interior Clear: Becker Acroma - Akvaline 215 satin (30)

This is a pre-catalyzed waterborne acrylic, very low (83 per gal) VOC product.

Interior and Exterior Paint: Rodda, Miller, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams,

Pratt & Lambert, Devine, Kelly-Moore, and most other major brands

Our goal is to use low VOC paints whenever possible.

SprayKote Shop Finishing, Inc. believes in the need to take care of the world in which we live. Painting has traditionally been tough on the environment and we have been striving to make a change and be different. Eighteen years ago we purchased a solvent recycler and have been re-using most of the solvent we buy since then. The little we don't re-use, we ship to legal and responsible disposers to be used in the manufacturing of cement.

As paint companies develop new technology in paint, we are eager to make the change. SprayKote has been innovative in testing and using waterborne clear finishes. The waterborne stain system and clear finish we use is state-of-the-art. SprayKote has been a leader in making the change to latex or waterborne paint and finishes.

By insulating our building and switching to high-output, low-energy lighting, SprayKote has shown a commitment toward conservation. By recycling our empty paint cans and buckets, we were able to eliminate our dumpster and now just use a rolling cart for all our garbage.

The electricity that Spraykote Shop Finishing uses is from 100% new renewable sources.
